Bergen again 🙂
This is the third time I’ve been to Bergen and every time I’ve headed into bergen it was some sort of festive time, be it birthday celebrations, Christmas and new years or in this current case 30th year marriage anniversary!
First off, at Oslo arrivals, I had to wait for a particular Mr Wold to land his ass (Istanbul to Oslo). The plane was highly delayed but good thing I had magazines on my iPad as well as a nice custard pastry to keep me company. By the time he arrived, we only had 2 hours left til the Oslo to Bergen flight departs. We got ourselves checked-in; bought a sandwich and an Oreo ice cream; got comfy on some airport chairs and; lazed. Once landed, Bergen side was breezy since we just grabbed our luggage and hopped on a taxi towards fooooood 🙂
Annnnnnd cake! Can’t forget the cakes, a 3 layered sponge cake with vanilla filling decorated with piped whipped cream on the outside and topped with lots and lots of yummy norwegian strawberries bought from a place 5-7 hours drive east. The cake tasted lightly sweet, refreshing from the strawberries, soft and moist. The second cake was made by their daughter, a 2 layered sponge with cream filling, shaped into a heart, decorated with smooth marshmallow fondant topped with little silver sugar pearls and a wedding topper.
However… I forgot to take photos of them yumminess… I was too tired . It was such a long day and due to the midnight sun… eyes are deceived and confused as to the time to head to bed!
